William Shakespeare
William Shakespeare is the most famous of all English writers.
People say that there are two books you will always find in an English home, The Bible and the Works of William Shakespeare.
Shakespeare was born in Stratford-on-Avon in 1564 and died there in 1616.
He married Anne Hathaway. For some time he worked as a teacher in the neighborhood of Stratford-ob-Avon.
In 1586 he went to London and became an actor. He worked at the Globe Theatre. He started to write plays and poems.
The most well-known plays are "Romeo and Juliet" and "Hamlet, Prince of Denmark".

Paul stayed at home last evening. His sister Jane went to her piano lesson. His parents werent at home either. They were at the cinema. Nobody stayed at home with Paul and he was frightened.
He decided to call his friends and invite them to come. Unfortunately, they also werent at home. His friend Den was at the swimming pool and his friend Jack was at the football match.
Paul was very upset. Even his cat was in the street playing with the neighours cats. Poor Paul!
