when is Nauryz celebrated? What are the Kazakh peoples traditional dishes
Nauryz has been celebrated on the 22 th of March as a holiday of spring and nature renewal .The Holiday of Nauryz is one of the oldest holidays in the world.
The main dish symbolizing this holiday is Nauryz kozhe. The Kazakh traditional dishes are Beshbarmak, kazy,shuzhuk, kuyrdak , zhal (smoked lard from horses neck) , zhaya (salted and smoked meat from horses hip and hind leg),pilaf (palaw),ulpershek,mypalau,akshelek,kylmai, kuiryk-bauyr,sary mai, baursak, shelpek, manti, kattama and oima.
