1) Jack said he was found of Dickens and that he had been reading Old Curiosity Shop the whole week. He said that he liked the novel very much and that he was reading it for the second time.
2) He asked me if I had got a Russian-English dictionary and if I could let him have it for that evening. He claimed he must do some very difficult translation.
3) Father asked John what he had done at school the day before.
